Officially opening its doors in 2019, Ardnahoe is Islay’s newest distillery. To celebrate the launch, the brand asked us to create a book that sparked excitement around the distillery and gave consumers an insight into the brand.
We created a book titled ‘The Building of a Dream’ that gave consumers an inside look at the distilleries journey from idea to completion. The book would be sold in various channels including the distillery shop so it was key that the design felt giftable and precious to appeal to the consumers visiting the site.
Archive imagery brought the story of the distillery’s construction to life and added a personal touch to the brand.
We chose a colour palette that reflected the natural landscape surrounding the distillery including the water, sky and hills.
Echoing the brand identity, we chose a contemporary and minimal approach for the layout design. We introduced stylised typography to highlight important elements through out the book.
We brought the premium cues through printing techniques, finishes and materials including blind embossing and gold foiling.
