Highland Park asked us to create an immersive world class visitor centRE at their distillery. The space was to be like no other distillery experience, feel inviting to new customers and inspire people to stay a while enjoying a dram.

 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 

Appealing to the luxury consumer, we doubled down on handcrafted artistry and celebrated attention to detail in every element of the design, film and photography.

 
 
 
 
 
 

UTILISING MATERIALS UNIQUE TO ORKNEY AND FOUND IN AND AROUND THE DISTILLERY’S REMOTE AND WILD LANDSCAPE, WE CRAFTED AN ENVIRONMENT FROM OLD WASHBACKS, IRON AND STONE. Using materials from the whisky making process gave VISITORS A FEEL FOR THE ELEMENTS THAT shape HIGHLAND PARK.

 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 

We used ANCIENT ARCHITECTURE AND OLD STONEMASONRY TECHNIQUES throughout the space from the furniture to the walls and floor. EVERY ELEMENT OF THE SPACE WAS HANDCRAFTED INCLUDING THE CENTRAL CIRCULAR TASTING BAR TOP THAT WAS HAND SANDED TO ENSURE A PERFECTLY CURVED EDGE.

ALONGSIDE THE STILLS WE CREATED A TWELVE-MINUTE BRAND FILM THAT SHOWCASES HIGHLAND PARK’S HISTORY AND PROCESS IN DETAIL.
