Highland Park asked us to create a premium three part collectors range. The brand wanted to share Orkneys rich and colourful history that is full of troubles, strife, heroism and legacy.

DRAWING INSPIRATION FROM AN ELEVENTH CENTURY FOLK TALE RIPE WITH JEALOUSY, DEATH AND FAMILY, each bottle in the range ADOPTS the name of a CHARACTER within the story. ACCORDING TO LEGEND EARL HAAKON ORDERED THE UNTIMELY DEATH AND MURDER OF HIS OWN COUSIN EARL MAGNUS. INSPIRED BY THIS OLD STORY, WE CRAFTED AN range STEEPED IN HISTORY.

WE CREATED BESPOKE illustrations FOR EACH CHARACTER WITHIN THE RANGE THAT where USED AS PRODUCT IDENTIFIERS.

We wanted to reflect the stories time in history and bring a handcrafted approach to the design. We purposefully created a glass decanter that has natural looking flaws, bubbles and an unusual orange peel texture to reflect the production techniques used over 150 years ago.

The bespoke brown glass bottle features an archive inspired label that shows each character in a stained glass window. It is sealed with a black stopper and coated in black wax.

As part of the campaign we created dramatic atmospheric images as well as a suite of studio product photography.
