In partnership with Sotheby’s, The Distillers' Charity is launching a biennial auction held in Edinburgh of ultra-rare Scottish whisky in aid of disadvantaged young people in Scotland. We were asked to create the brand identity featuring a unique icon and the auctions name - The Distillers One of One.

 
 
 
 
 
 

As the biggest charity auction in the history of Scotch Whisky, our focus was to make sure the branding appealed to the luxury client base and the prestigious nature of the two companies involved. We wanted to reference scotch whisky in a visual and unique way.

 
 
 
 
 
 

Inspired by timeless and classical design, we used two contrasting typefaces to draw attention to each and distinguish hierarchy.

 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 

Referencing Scotch whisky in a contemporary way, we crafted a design make from concentric circles. Each ring symbolises a key element that goes into making whisky.

 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 

Inspired by whisky liquid, the logo embraces a strong but minimal colour Palette
